On the beach the sun was beaming down on me
So I thought I would take a dip in the sea,
I reached the point where the water met the land
My feet disappeared into the soft sand.

The water rushed in and lapped around my feet
It was exhilarating and such a treat,
I felt my feet sink with the pull of the tide
And way above my head a seagull cried.
I waded in deeper up to my knees
Yet I could hardly feel any sea breeze,
There was only a swell upon the sea
No white rollers to crash over me.

The sun glistened upon the salty sea
The cool water felt like paradise to me,
The water was ever so inviting
It`s caress on my skin was so enticing.
Deeper I waded `til I was on tip-toe
But no further than this would I go,
I know my limits and here I would stay
From here I could see the whole of the Bay.
