My dearest one you touch my heart
Though seas between us flow,
And we must live so far apart
Still memories, fill my soul.
What happened to that long ago
When we were so in love?
Our lives were blessed with so much joy
Sent to us, from above.
Each day I looked into your eyes
Your lips I sweetly kissed,
I touched your face, you smiled at me
That joy, I truly miss.
But you live with your children now
Whose souls are part of you,
I feel your laugh, your love for them
