'Waiting'

The road you walk is very long
When you have lost a friend,
But know that you are not alone
When you round each bend.

For as the bend you leave behind
Is not the friend you've lost,
For they are waiting up ahead
To meet you, when you cross.

~ When a friend passes on a part of you
is lost--yet the end of a life is really
the beginning of the next for each of us.
My daughter-in-law had lost a very dear friend,
and I wrote these few words to try and ease her
pain. I would hope that they could be of help
to others facing a most difficult, trying time
as we all have to face at times through our life. ~
