A Not So Knight In Shining Armor
He rides upon his valiant steed
Serving a King but not his need
Seems service takes precedent
Before his heart that seems so bent
Bent on finding his fair maiden
Yet lonesome stirs a heart his laden
With all but her whose scent he holds
Upon a scarf that time has stole
He rides throughout the night in vain
Expressing love of her that pains
A not so Knight in shining armor
Prayers unheard that nothing harm her
He'll slay Dragons, fight Black Knights
He'll storm castles with heart contrite
Failing to grasp his sins dictate
The battleground for his soul mate
Yet still he rides to chase his dream
Of her and him and what so seems
A fairy tale where journeys end
Without her love he needs to mend
