 'Inspiration In Thought'

'Wistful Shades of Mystery'

You shine your magic down on me
In wistful shades of mystery,
As while you float in wonder high
Above all that you've given life.

The evening breeze now travels light
As meadowlarks sing while in flight,
Their songs of freedom in the sky
That now gives way to summers night.

I sit with eyes so full of splendor
And marvel at the change of nature,
For once again your fullness brings
A reason to rejoice and sing.

So shine with all your beauty bare,
Let swollen breasts with nurture care
For hungry souls, who stand below
With hearts so full that love you so.

~ I often think part of life's problems
could be lessened, if not diminished completely,
if people would take some time to listen,
breathe, and let their eyes drink deep of all
that nature truly gives at any time of day.
This thought is what inspired this poem. ~
