Don't touch my heart

Don't touch my heart

I may let you close
And even let you hold me
In your arms,
Kiss you tenderly
Whisper sweet words
And let you in on secrets
Nobody else knows,
Even allow you a closer view
In my eyes you may even see a flame
That is of old
That's a window to my soul
You may even hold me for a while
I will share with you laughter's,
And lend an ear I am a good listener
But don't try to get to my heart
Or any closer,
Someone did once he had access an open door
Tore it to pieces God knows ,
The endless nights the tears I cried
I will let you hold me even smile,
But don't try  to get any closer
That door been closed perhaps forever,
The wounds the cuts are way to deep
Still trying to put the shattered dreams
And the pieces back together,
Don't try to get to my heart
