A White ChristmasBorn in Australia way back when A white Christmas we only sang the song- Summer time out there then and very hot We dreamed of a white Christmas all along- I traveled many miles across land and sea In time to come it's true- But never had a white Christmas As some around the world they do- Much later on and later in life I came to fill that dream- After finding real true love I also Had my first white Christmas supreme- So beautiful it was to see at dawn Upon that Christmas day- Looking out of window high At a white Christmas on display- I sent photos to my grand children Showing where Santa had left our home- Footprints in the gentle snow Where he walked back to slay alone- Now at least when I sing that song I can sing it with a smile- As have had my first white Christmas And it was as white as and with style- Terrence Michael Sutton copyright 2008 ( written in 2006 ) Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
