 Nameless
Arrogance is a thing people have
Who are hiding behind a puffed up ego
The fact that they think
So very little of themselves…

Confidence is supposed to be
The opposite.
The self-esteem and belief
In ones own ability
To do what must be done.

Some say I am arrogant.
Some say I am self-confident.

I say that neither are words
Which can fully comprehend
What I mean
Who I am
The state of being
Has no name that I am aware of.

One is an accusation
That lacks understanding
Because the accuser feels threatened

The other is a guess
From human values
That have no room for something a little more,
Something Divine.

Nameless in society
I call it
Knowingness to my soul.
I cannot claim it
My own
Other than it is my
Responsibility to acknowledge it…
My knowingness,
It is as real as seeing
The color red,
And trying to describe it
To the color blind.

All I can do is talk around
The mystery of it.
This nameless thing
 That IS…
My knowingness.
