Nadine's Lullaby

I live here to visualize
our baby's eyes
Though my mind has left me stranded
in the hues of her soft, soft cheeks
baby-talk, in the language her mother speaks
I wonder if these days pertain to me
as she is so, the soul of my child
kept as a cherub, still herself,
at the creation of Nadine's arrival
on the fifteenth day of the week
Time, so obsolete-
an aura, life becoming
at the mercy of the love I seek
Nady saddles the leg of her daddy
and peacefully falls asleep...

Her lullaby

So high, so wise
I live here to visualize
The love that I chose
to fill Nadine's eyes
