Hero Born
The badge of honor will mourn today
Another loss with life they've paid
The price too high should one be asked
Yet paid Patrick, doing his task
Patrick McDonald another Knight
Would fall, be slain by urban blight
His cause to serve, protect a city
Where gratitude falls short with pity
Serve he would for just 8 years
Today he rests and so will tears
Upon faces, a sea of Blue
Will honor one tested and true
The streets of Morrell Park too mourn
For their Hero both raised and born
Of Fireman and Knights that lay
Their lives for man each passing day
No medals made or words spoken
Can be awarded to hearts now broken
To those he loved, family and friends
Today hearts joined, need time to mend
GOD calls home all Hero's born
That served mankind to be reborn
To walk above the clouds on streets
Paved of pure Gold, Patrick's new beat
Dedicated to the McDonald family in memory of
Patrick McDonald
