~*` LOVING ARMS `*~
~*~`LOVING ARMS`~*~
How does He love her when she is never around
Alone and lonely truly missing hearing her sound,
He'd love to be able to hear her soft sweet voice
If given, it would certainly be his very first choice..
When evening twilight arrives he misses her most of all
As he listens to a lone whippoorwill sending a mating call,
He is just as lonely as a mourning dove feels right now
Anxiously waiting for an answer to his call somehow..
She went away leaving his heart to fend for it
Like a faded rose pressed in a dusty book on a shelf,
Not taking time before hand to even wish a farewell
To the loved one who still remembers her so very well..
He'll wait for her return not really knowing how
Like the whippoorwill perched in the tree's bough,
Patiently calling over valleys and mountains so tall
Hoping for a return answer to his dire love call..
