We have played with the devil,
now our kids will pay the piper,
We have opened hell's door,
to release the viper
Hatred seems to spread,
way too far.
The only hope for us all,
is peace not war.

toward the fire,
This earth's lust,
feeds the devil's desire,
Our only hope is said,
is in the child born under a star.
Our children are walking though blood red.,
with the living dead.
Look where hated has lead.

The world is crashing around them,
They don't know how to escape,
so afraid of the unknown realm.
Tomorrow is in the hands of fate,
They have already faced sorrow,
They have already tasted heartache,
They wonder where is Superman,
That hero they became,
when they put on the cape,
Life demanded they left their childhood behind.
It's not the way they planned it,
somewhere back in time,
they wish they could return.
to the bridges that they burn

Can they walk though the sorrow,
to find tomorrow,
to see the sun rise,
Sometime lost in the shadows,
alone as they fight their own battles,
sometime they wish they could just close their eyes,

sometime they feel so lost,
others may not realize the cost,

Like the living dead.
Look how hatred is bred,
blood shed.
so many die,
Look how hatred has spread.
Dequised by love's sweet lie.
Tears in the eye,
is there another day to borrow?

For every mistake,
humanity seems to make,
seems to take us closer to defeat,
Is it too late,
for the child's sanity on the street?
