Words unspoken, Words unread!

The Ghosts of Dartmoor........................

If dartmoors walls could speak to me,
What secrets would they tell?
With stories of two hundred years,
Within a man made hell.

Deaths that have gone unchallenged,
And cries of rape unheard.
Bodies dragged from a dingy cell,
At the cemetery interred.

For a feared reputation,
This prison beats them all.
But one day I shall stand outside,
And watch those bastards fall.

My mouth they will not silence,
They'll know what my eyes did see.
You've broken the law for too damn long,
They'll get the truth from me.

Before I leave these walls of grey,
One promise I will keep.
Some secrets I will take with me,
From these walls so dark and deep.
