Poetry that thinks out loud

pretty little who

Along the high street is where we were sat.
Approached by an old lady who once wore an Easter bunny hat.
A kind old lady carrying a tiger.
its what came next that made me and my partner snigger.
She was giving out gifts which at the charity shop they could not sell.
And to give them to the first cute little girl.
With beautiful long locks a bundle joy.
This cute little girl is actually our pretty boy.
We didn't  have the heart to tell her the mistake.
With his angelic face its an easy mistake to make.
But it was kind of her anyway.
To give these pleasant gifts away.
She gave us a kiss and patted our hand.
And said be there next Sunday and hear the salvation army band.
