Poetry that thinks out loud

cream

The phrase was cream.
Cash rules everything around me.
Used on a program I used to watch on TV.
What a thing money has turned out to be.
It creates wars hunger deceit and greed.
Dependent on how much you have your judged as a person.
Leaving the future of our humanity bleak and uncertain.
People will steal mug and kill just for the money you got.
On the ground bleeding they check your pockets incase they haven't got the lot.
Our elders left to face cold winters with no heating.
For the simple fact the money they get cant pay for the amount it's costing.
Left to die in the unbearable cold.
Dying alone with no one to hold.
Religious times come and meaning is forgot.
It seems to be based on how much was the cost of the gift you got.
Designer gifts flashy toys a top of the range hand bag.
But if you don't come through you become scrooge a real tight old hag.
So many people dying in wars on foreign soil.
Just so governments can get there hands on the life costing oil.
People lives among money has no value.
Just dummies behind so called leaders forming a queue.
I have more than money and that you cant buy.
I'm sure arrogant people will continue to try.
And now here comes these words I quote.
Life is worth much more than the old pound note.
