Crashintome

Answers you Seek

My thoughts so narrative, biographical
taking me, saving me
My pleas

Potting soil for your African violets
Man O' War in your angry wake
Promises mommy gave you
to light the candles on your cake, forever

Amidst these, you're falling down hard
glued, sticky to....
Falling fast
And you cannot remember what brought you here
or how you sold your soul
but my hands somersaulted you, spinning
head over heels from the beginning
of your roll

I won't be lamenting, but feeling gauche
I suppose, you're broken
But we were close
Baby, pull the chord
and together we will read from The Halls of Macchu Picchu
remembering us

remembering me

I am poison
I am death
but the flowered inlet that surrounds the plot
I am certain
I am best
but the stain on the curtain you forgot

Ah,
...the truths we seek
so dizzying
The answers you just can't live without
because
I'm the one your mother warned you about
