L I F E
Life is every thing we've got Without it nothing is at all- Only one life this time we live This is our only this time call- Life is living , life is giving Most of all first of all to you- Being true to thine own self So you can live to see life through- Life's not always doing as others say Life's finding out just who you are- Being as positive as you can be And striving to go far- Life is never always wealth and gain So much more to life it's true- Life is making choices all the time Being the right ones for only you- Life is striving to be a good soul And for sure being good to you- Life is being happy with yourself And then you can be good to others too- Doing your best to pass life's each test Not set by others that feel they only know- Life is never quitting for what you search That will have your heart and soul to glow- Life is not trying to be someone else Or trying to live your life their way- But trying simply to fore fill your dreams And being yourself all each and every day- Life is love , Hand in glove The kind that lasts always- Once this is found feet on the ground Happiness for all your living days- Life is being whom you are but best of all Regardless of others who say they only know- Life is learning , life is yearning Life is enjoying life as you do grow- Life is choices , Life is rejoices And life is searching for peace of mind- Only you yourself will ever know its true When yours one day you find- Terrence Michael Sutton copyright 2008 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
