June's Rhymes

Who's There?

I hear a noise, so I look outside.
Who's out there? Don't you hide.
I see a shadow lurking in the dark.
I hear my dog, as he begins to bark.
I'm scared, my stomach is in a knot.
Petrified, I can't move from my spot.
I drop my cup and my coffee spills.
The noise in the dark, gives me chills.
It's scary outside, the sky is not blue.
It has taken on a darkened, black hue.
I see the shadow, in the moon's glow.
Who is it? Tell me! I demand to know!
Timidly, someone comes into my view.
Hudson you silly ole cat, it's just you.
