Poetry that thinks out loud

Insecurity's

Look in that mirror do you like what you see.
Or is there someone else you would much prefer to be.
A tear comes to your eye, who will love me like this.
What kind of life will I have will I ever share a kiss.
Many thoughts run through your head as a teenager.
This person reflecting back you would prefer to be a stranger.
Why are people not interested in me for who I am.
Yet the people who act like children get all they can.
So many off putting doubts low self esteem.
I wish I could just wake up and it would all be a dream.
Insecurity's seem to control what you do.
Put obstacles in the way to make things so much harder for you.
At this age everything seems such a great deal.
But over the next few years you will understand what's real.
It will take time but these insecurity's die down.
You can look in the mirror and no longer need to frown.
You become the person you were destined to be.
From a young persons view now it seems hard to believe.
They are feelings that teach you a lot.
You will one day be confident in the knowledge of what you have got.
