 Words
I open my mouth too much;
My foot slides effortlessly in.
It is accustomed to this location;
Too many words.
Silence I hear is golden,
But my mouth is constantly engaged.
Can I zip my lips for even a moment?
Too many words.
Have I drowned you in my syllables,
Wisdom is elusive;
I voice too much too often.
Too many words.
Stillness rests on my soul,
Peace is in my larynx,
Quiet resounds in my mind.
Still too many words.
I love you.
‘Nuff said.
Perfect.
Words.

Penned after I said too much
one day causing a hurt.
