Holiday Peace

I put a candle in my window
to shine for all to see,
as the flame flickered
a peace came over me.

Others may have seen it
as it shone so bright,
the flame grows stronger
when we live life right.

A symbolic light glows
in celebration of jesus' birth,
His love spreads to all
that are upon the earth.

Others may have felt His peace
when they saw the light,
flickering in the darkness
it was a wonderful sight.

A sign of His enduring love
that puts our minds at ease,
it welcomes in the winter
when icicles hang from trees.

The season will come and go
but the light of Christ will stay,
peace on earth good will to all
on this Christmas holiday.
