How fast the years are passing
As I look back through the past
I see images of yesteryear
Pictures of our every weekend on the lake
All our boats tied together having lunch on the water
The Years in Europe, outdoor markets
Living within sight of the Leaning Tower Of Piza
Pattie and I always into some kind of mischief
Always drama with the two of us
The years in Germany, Boxburg Mountain
Where the witches of Europe go to play
Just the few of us on that scary mountain
Days and days eating steak-em sandwiches and Babyruths
Looking back, the years overseas were good
Georgia and Alabama, Pattie and I still joined at the hips
Sweet Becky, Keola with the face of a Angel
Mikey's death, how very good that last week was
I remember the strawberry muffins so well
The sweet, tender little things he did to show he cared
Max's birth, the two of us fighting to get Pattie's attention
The Easter cake, him holding up one finger
Not able to say "just one more jelly bean mom"
Coming home to Tennessee, the Gulf War, telegrams to the president
MamaJones dieing, the horrible grief
The family break up
The football years
Parkinson's
Divorce
