From the throne of the Most High
From the praises of choirs divine
From the highest point in the sky
He came, your Redeemer and mine…
To a world lost in its own sins
To a people blind to their own fate
To a place where death only wins
He came not a second too late…
As a babe in a manger he lay
While angels watched on their wings
No evil could come where he lay
But shepherds and three wise kings…
As a child so long prophesied
To the temple he came one day
And there was tested and tried
Among rabbis who had much to say…
As a man He spoke demons away
Returned to life the spoils of death
And Roman, Gentile, Jew made way
While satan's trap was shaped and set…
And when on a cross He died
The heart of God was rent in pain
And it seemed to the one that lied
That evil and darkness triumphed again…
But alas, joy of all joys
Our Jesus came forth from the grave
No grip of death, no evil ploys:
The angel called the Mighty to Save…
And so the call goes out to all
Surrender now to Him your heart
This is the time to break your fall
This is the time to stand apart…
