 Ocean of God

I sit looking within to find solutions to the questions in my life.
I seek the knowledge of who I am and what is my purpose.
I want to be in touch with that dharma that I sense within my soul,
That I may live completely the destiny before my feet.
This quest brings me to my very own soul,
As it is dipped from the ocean of God.

I taste the saltiness of the essence of my self within.
I am awed by the attempted understanding of the eternal;
The complete circle without beginning or end.
A sense of timelessness enters me, with its calming influence;
As I only have to recognize who I truly am in order to become.
I see an old wooden dipper sitting beside the ocean of God.

Yes, my spirit is of God, as is yours, and also yours too.
Each of our souls are from the same seas of God's eternal love.
I now understand why you are my brother, no matter who you are.
Whether Muslim, Jew, Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, or atheist;
We are one inside our differing bodies, unified by God's presence.
Each of us dipped out by God's very hand from the ocean of God.

As I sit and attempt to comprehend this statement and focus on its depths,
I am overwhelmed with a sense of unity and love for my fellow man.
We are all beloved brothers and sisters, brought forth with love from our Father.
Allow this love to permeate the intents of your actions throughout your day,
As we can now see that we are one big dysfunctional family
Dipped out of the ocean of God.

I am eternal and I now understand that my days are without number.
Time is no longer an enemy, as only temporal objects does it rule.
But I will not exist unchanged, as life is a continuous transformation.
From this moment to the eternal next we change, or we are not alive.
At the end of my days lived in this vessel of dust,
I will be poured back into the ocean of God
