Darkness
The underlying hum of emotions churn,
The silent tears causing my eyes to burn,
The sadness no matter which way I turn,
My life is flooded by the darkness.
I look inward to seize a moment of joy,
My emotions play with me like a toy,
I once again feel like a scared little boy,
My life is embraced by the darkness.
I look around me in the darkened room,
Shadows bring about feelings of gloom,
I plead to return to my mothers womb,
My life is imprisoned by the darkness.
