Poetry that thinks out loud
The funny side of men
As hard as we try were destined to fail.
I'm talking now of us who are male.
Apparently we cause much ado.
When we come down with man flu.
In modern men we can cook and clean.
Do most house work make the place gleam.
Men of which women dream.
But is it all what it may seem.
For this thing of men and cleaning.
Were still very much learning.
Looking round with a smile on her face.
Look at how clean you've made the place.
But my oh my wouldn't she dread.
All that rubbish hid under bed.
Shopping is our weak point it makes us moan.
Watching women decide what they need before we get home.
From the front of the shop down to the back.
I guess we just haven't got the knack.
Picking things up then putting them down.
Men just get bored of walking around.
We think we can fix things because we are men.
In this issue we don't learn we just do it again.
End up making the problem worse.
Seems we have a fixing curse.
Something snaps off and here is what we say.
Well we didn't need that part anyway.
A one sided stabilizer on the bike you ride.
It'll be ok if you lean to one side.
All jokes aside we really do try.
But for many years yet women will still question why.
