It seems but yesterday a freshman--
Central Washington College
Proof as it may be I wasn't
there just for Knowledge
I had a basketball scholarship--
to keep it go to class
Then I met this cute, my wife,
the time has gone fast
One day my son said to me,
"Dad I'm going to Wazzu!"
Seems but a week ago
I'm going on to law school.
It seems only a year ago
at Georgetown a wife too
A young Doctor, a Lawyer and
now they had a family in school
My daughter had started her family
Grandkids grew--Five Grandkids
now and I am an old man
All this was never in the plan
I asked my oldest Grandchild X-mas,
"How are things going in school?"
"I graduate in February from the U."
And in high school one Grandson is
a senior too All the other Grandkids
have plans for college too
How when too lovers shared a glance
could they have ever knew--known
They are all smarter than Grandpa easily shown
As you can see lots of critique not a poem
A storybook life I must say but it is my own
