Time to erase the past,
Abandon old grievances,

Greet the New Year,
Glasses lifted high,
Hugging your friends,
Under summer starry sky.
There is a new reality,
Investments melt like snow,
Money markets mystify,
Deposits shrink, not grow.
Peace is so elusive,
These are troubled days,
Marred by war and terror,
Bringing no peace or praise.
Peace and prosperity,
Are these for you?
Peace and contentment,
Commit yourself anew.
Tell God you're grateful,
He'll supply your needs,
Plus some extra to share,
Not to be gorged in greed.
Plant seeds of peace,
Share your prosperity,
Perhaps if we do this,
Peace will become reality.
