Poetry that thinks out loud

Questions of war (edited version)

Thousands of troops sent to Iraq.
Government's declared an all out attack.
Another nations government fell.
To save innocent people from a life of hell.
Many people questioned their reasons.
Apparently to find nuclear weapons.
Nothing there at the end of their mission.
But still the troops remain in position.
We all know that human life is precious.
But now its seems more pretentious.
To save lives these troops get sent to war.
I feel the real story is so much more.
If there were no ulterior motives.
Why not help other countries.
How about people of the third world.
Seems only charities is their cause of help.
Governments are dealing them a bad hand.
Killing innocent people stealing their land.
With no land to grow food its causing starvation.
Why are we not at war in this kind of nation.
It's based on what our governments can gain.
Rather than nations being inflicted with pain.
They seem free to just do as they please.
Leave the innocent to die of famine and disease.
This has gone on for so many years.
Their encounters with water is that of tears.
It seems ok to save some but not others.
Depending on what a certain place offers.
