*************************************************************************** Dear Anna and `Integrity List Founders` ` Thank you for including me in your request to support your`Integrity Program` along with everyone else, I hesitate to do so, and here is the reason why, as I have already expressed to Calvin, for the simple reason that the `Contest Rules` are in great error to be considered as an honest voting system as it now stands. The rules state that one can vote every hour on a poem, therefore if I were to vote on a poem that I liked, every hour, I could do 24 votes in 24 hours, on the same poem, BUT this would actually be just from one person, not 24, so how can that be considered to be a fair count It allows a poet to have 24 votes on just one read, do you see what I am trying to say? Compounded, this vote could be immense from those who have more than one site here on PP> I realize there are cheaters in the voting system, but the system it, as I see it is not an accurate count of how many people liked a poem, but by how many times it was voted on, in some cases by the same person. This is my personal reason why I am not able to support your effort of your Integrity List , of which I admire your efforts to stop the cheating process, and if it helps one person, to stop, that is a great accomplishment. However, I do not take part in this poetry contest, as I am here to write poetry, and not compete on who is a better writer, as I see it, we are all excellent writers in our own styles, and everyone who writes a `sensible poem` should be considered winners, which we can praise a poet for their exceptional work either in feedback or guestbooks. Please don't get me wrong, for those who feel a poetry contest is their ideal, this is a good way to go, and I say to each it's own, but as you know, and as we have seen here on PP, jealousy can cause many unwanted problems, I just wanted to voice my opinion, as to why you have not heard from me, on your request to support this program. You and James have a beautiful site Anna, and I admire all of your hard efforts on keeping it as such, I wish you luck with this program and thank-you for the invite to join you, your friendship is greatly appreciated by all.
