Greatness-
All cultures, nations, understand greatness-
Alexander the “Great”
His name echo with the sound of greatness-
Countries bow down and pay homage—
To whom one might ask-
To the super-powers—the warrior countries-
Countries, which ravage the weak-
But not the strong-
We proclaim our greatness—with mass destruction—
Super-powers—un-caring, unwise—so desensitize-
To our surroundings-
Yes, we speak of greatness-
Like a badge of honor-
While we irrigate and grow—OUR CHILD SOLDIERS!
The soldiers in the name of greatness—
Although, mere children
We thrash them into battle-
For the ideology—greed—or just because we can-
Yes, I understand greatness-
The true essence of the word-
For “Nixon” unscrupulous as he may or may not be-
The jury is still out-
I think in that regard-
Once said—
Greatness does not come from the good times—
Greatness comes from how well we overcome adversity—
To understand that—is to understand greatness
