" THE JOURNEY"

I walk upon the shoreline, my footprints in the sand
As the wakes of waves come in, my footprints they disband
I smell the scent of sea salt brine drying upon my lips
For when the moonbeams take place of sun, it's you I truly miss

Whisper to me softly three words I want to know
Place them on your finger tips with your sweet lips give a blow
Blow them towards the palm tree tops that swaying in the wind
Let them land on a billowed cloud for their journey to begin

Have those three words navigate that fluffy cloud of white
Over clear blue tranquil waters, to reach me here by night
For there is solace, in those words, great power they possess
When whispered from you freely, my soul they do caress

As the tides of time roll in and the cloud floats close to me
The whispered words of I love you shines like a neon lit marquee
For in the heartbeat of that moment, time it shall stand still
The words will be etched in eternity, and my heart will be fulfilled
