With All Due Consideration( Photo borrowed from computer ) With all due consideration Just maybe it is not cutting it today- The new age thinking re teaching values Respect and decency the latest newest way- With all the new up to date thinking Excuses and explanations that now be- Maybe time to go back and bring forward Old school common sense in all it's degree- That old school common sense and logic All those once taught older values ever grand- The respect and self pride that once was in all Principles that once existed in every country and land- Seems today so many excuses and explanations Of ever so much today it seems to be- The well early learned common sense of yesterday Taught to our young of values and decency- Back when decent parents were aloud to parent When all children right from wrong were taught- Back when many now teaching the new ways An education was earned back then not bought- When younger children had chores to do each day And grew knowing values , decency and respect- Back when so much of the younger crime of today Was simply not around to find or detect- There was once stricter inbuilt parental training To point all younger souls in a good direction- But so much of that has now been taken away By new age over done protection and detection- Children were loved but taught strictly as well They grew decently with respect for all and self- But so much new age thinking to a greater degree Has put decent younger training away upon a shelf- There was not younger ones committing the crimes of today Once all they grew knowing right from wrong- Once old school common sense and values prevailed Time to go back , bring forward that old well sung song- The things some younger ones do today knowing They are protected mostly regardless of the crime- And yet we wonder why this happens as it does With all due consideration the answers clear you'll find- Terrence Michael Sutton copyright 2009 ( Written with a young fire bug's statement in mind ..
