Up Ahead
To My lovely twin boys Billy and Glen on their 39th birthday. Love you always, Mum xxx
Ah! thirty-nine, that magic age
When as we turn another page
Up ahead we see the gate
Of forty, lying there in wait.
A time for looking back at when
We were only five or ten
Fifteen, thirty years gone by
Now we know how time can fly
Makes us realize the truth
Not to waste our precious youth
Fill our lives with joy, not pain
We can`t live it all again
Do what`s right as we go on
No regrets to dwell upon
Moving forward heads held high
Never make another cry
Make a vow to just be good
Do everything the way we should
Have fun, be happy do our best
Then we`ll pass the living test
Of who we are and what we`ll be
Then we`ll both be flying free
Your mother`s love will live forever
Forgive me sons for all I never
Did or said to let you know
How much I care and love you so
My love knows no bounds in time
Because my sons you both are mine
Have a happy day today
Find joy in all you do and say
And my boys do not forget
Life should be lived without regret
