From The Heart

Burn My Sorrow

Its time I quit hurting, its time I put the pain behind me.
I must forget about all this trouble, I got to get rid of it.
Its time I learn to find myself and be happy. This time I got
To stop crying. I must burn my sorrow.

Get me a metal jar or just a tin can will do. Write down
All my problems, ball them up and light 'em. Put 'em in the
can as your troubles began to fade. As long as Jesus is on
Your side, you'll have nothing to worry about.

I'm not crazy. I'm just trying to start my life back
Over. I got to get a hang of things. I must put this
Past behind me. Telling others how I feel helps but
Sometimes its better to burn my sorrow.

I rather be happy than sad, I rather be cheerful
Than blue. I rather have Jesus on my side than
Satan. I rather be a christian than a sinner.
This time I'm a let God take this into his own
Hands instead of me burning my sorrow.
