From The Heart
Don't Take Him
*In Loving Memory of Uncle Tub*
I love him so much
And in his heart I know he loved me.
It almost seems to me that in his
Eyes he's ready to go.
Don't want to leave, Don't
Want him to go but there's
Nothing I can do but say "I love you".
Please don't take him away.
So many memories I know of.
So many things we've talked about.
You're in my heart no matter what,
Dear Lord, don't take him from me.
I wonder if he's saveed, does he
Still remember me at all? If
He must go then take him home
To where he belongs.
I love my uncle with every
Single breathe I draw but
Even though I cry those tears,
Even though he must leave
This world behind, still
Through all the heartache
Let him be free from all
The pain but don't him away from me.
