Poetry that thinks out loud
EVOLVED
Darwin was wrong when he said we evolved.
I look around now that theory's dissolved.
Don't get me wrong on the outside its true.
But evolved is the wrong word I put to you.
We see animals as below our own race.
Look at how they act in utter disgrace.
There are monkeys that savagely attack.
Not alone but in an high numbered pack.
Lions defend the land where they live.
Trespass there and its your life you'll give.
But something that we can not hide.
Is how we overstepped the meaning of pride.
We are no better than animals we see.
We still live within our own territory.
Like vultures we hunt and we kill.
Aggressively taking all that we feel.
We kill innocent people with no remorse.
Were way beyond nature running its course.
We have no excuses for the way we act.
Our minds have not evolved that is a fact.
