PETITION OF A NEGLECTED PET
Don't take this in a personal way
However, I have just one thing to say
You're supposed to be nature's finest creation
But on us mute, furry beings you caused devastation
I find it just a little too odd
Your camera, laptop, cell phone and ipod
Your family, relatives and a big whole mob
You have friends, colleagues and your job
Your hobbies, past times and recreation
Pub hopping, fine dining and that annual vacation
Expectations seemingly higher and higher
Your hopes, dreams and your desire
You lock us indoors and disappear from the scene
Ever stopped to think that is so selfish and mean?
I don't intend to criticize or taunt
You have everything you could ever want
All the things that you want to do
But we......... we have only you......
