Beautiful Disaster
Seductive Sea
The sun is shining
And the sea
It beckons
So seductively
The waves looks a little rough
As they crash onto the shore
But I can handle them
As I have so many times before
Stepping into the water
It's colder then I thought
Unable to find
The pleasure I sought
I see Daddy on shore
And I realize
If I stay in these waves
They'll be my demise
Struggling to stand
Trying not to drown
Finally I get up
Only to be knocked down
Thrown under water
Crushed by the waves
Praying to
My God that saves
The waters subside
And I'm able to stand
And I start to head
Back toward land
But as I slowly
Walk toward the sand
I turn away
From the land
I see some friends
Swimming around
And immediately
I am that way, bound
I reach them
And we laugh for a while
But the coming wave
Wipes away my smile
I knew it would happen
But I went anyways
And maybe I'll learn
One of these days
Thrown under water
Crushed by the waves
Praying to
My God that saves
The waters subside
And I'm able to stand
And I start to head
Back toward land
But as I slowly
Walk toward the sand
I turn away
From the land
There is a boy
And he looks so fine
Standing there
Under the sunshine
I run to him
And he catches me
And for a while
We're happy
But he see's the wave
And leaves me there
Left all alone
With these burdens to bear
Thrown under water
Crushed by the waves
Praying to
My God that saves
The waters subside
And I'm able to stand
And I start to head
Back toward land
But as I slowly
Walk toward the sand
I turn away
From the land
A crowd of people
Beckons me
And I recognize them
As the temptations of society
They reach out their hand
And I grab on tight
Even though I know
Its probably not right
But when the wave comes
They disappear
Leaving me alone
With only my fear
As the wave swallows me
And there is water all around
I decide it may be better
To just stay down
Someone pulls me out
And carries me away
Speaking softly
I hear him say
“I love you, my child
My darling, my dear
Don't worry
Daddy's here”
He holds me close
And kisses my forehead
Whispers “I love you”
And puts me to bed
I wake the next morning
And no one is home
So I head toward the shore
To casually roam
And the sun is shining
And the sea
It beckons
So seductively
And the sea
It beckons
So seductively
The waves looks a little rough
