Anticipation part 1
Looking forward to any event that I wait on to come,
Anticipation fills me with conflicting stress and excitement.
The venture into the future with a carefully planned abandon;
But fear never holding me back from what might be. Geronimo!
No matter how many previous trips down the same road I've taken,
The ability to predict the outcome of this journey is incomplete.
With adventures, predictions have validity, but the result is unknown;
This is the source of the excitement, the stress, and the anticipation.
My heart is racing somewhat faster as I am on the verge of jumping in;
Free falling, with preparation, into this adventure captures my fullness.
My mind, my soul, and my body focus on the moment completely;
The journey has my full attention now, the anticipation has dissolved.
Once that first step is taken into the abyss of my dreams or fears;
My riveted attention is now present, fully alert and aware, I'm alive.
Afterward, I can look back without regrets, for I have conquered
The fears and the stress that comes from anticipation of reality.
