Exhortation of Faith
Give attention to my word,
And what the meaning is heard;
Let your ear tune what I say,
That will help you through each day.
Let them not go from your eyes,
Since they are of faith and wise;
Keeping them within your heart,
So you have each day you start.
For they are life when you find,
That keeps you humble and kind;
And will see you through with strength,
Persevering any length.
They will watch your heart with care,
For the compassion to share;
Showing your love to all others,
Just as sisters and brothers.
Cease using your evil tongue,
Where immorality is flung;
As well as your lying lips,
Teasing with your quirky quips.
Keep watch on your behavior,
If faith is in the Savior;
You will not be turning back,
For any faith that you lack.
