 Integrity
It is easy in this life to stand firm on your belief;
That is until troubles hit, and there is need of relief.
Unable to find a solution within the letter of the law;
My integrity is now tested, will I listen to her call?
Easy is the road that is slicked back by the grease;
But I lay in bed at night, where is my sweet peace.
A decision is nigh, coming blasting down the road;
Will I obey my integrity, or flush it down the commode?
My heart beats a little quicker, my blood pressure is high;
This is the perfect storm, but I will do right, or at least try.
Sweat on my palms, my stomach is churning, sleep is gone;
Tossing and turning with my integrity until the day's dawn.
The years have been kind to me, I haven't been tested often;
Yet, I still feel that rock of my foundation, I choose to not soften.
Victory comes riding with peace as my heart has decided;
Integrity is the winner, no matter what; I now stand united.
