 Escape From Reality

We sail blindly into the southern skies,
Grasping at the trailing glory of peace.
The sun is setting across the blue expanse,
The Caribbean cools its heat in her depths.

Another day being tossed gently by the sea,
Rocking me with a mother's love and care.
Nestled deep into the breast of this fantasy;
We are all that exists as far as the eye can see.

Alone in the darkened sea churning to destiny,
Another island, another port; who really cares?
It is the solitude from the world swirling no more;
On board we all escape from reality for a week.
