There are absolutes
In every direction
Absolute rigidity
Is as unbending
As absolute freedom
Each party is willing
To beat the crud
Or run away
From the other
If chaos
Or rigidity
Of any kind
Will ensue.
Down with “the man”
Even if the man
Is the one who is willing
To do the dirty jobs
That the creative
And free are unwilling
To do or face
In order to keep
Society going.
All of it is necessary
For life
And we each need
The other
Even if neither
Is perfect,
If there is
Such a thing.
Everything balances
On a single fulcrum
For which
There are no two points
But 360% in all directions
And mathematically
There are an infinite number
of points
for which we are
teetering on
this collective life
of ours.
We can rage
Against the machine
But the machine
Is a symbiotic part
Of every unrealized
Comfort.
Peace & Happiness
Are not found
In the absolute freedom
Or in the perfect societal
Structures we each
Seek to impose
On others so they
Can be more like us,
Free or Right,
Whatever we believe
Those things to be.
Contentment with
The world we are given
Isn't absent of action
But has peace with
Themselves,
And acts from
That place
With Joy
And passion.
