POET*NURSE

I'm just a poet
In a nurse's mind
How I know it
Through dark times will shine

A glow of God
The warm of sun
Have faith be odd
Laugh and have fun

'Cuz when you die
You'll understand
When there you lie
A nurse holds your hand

That life is brief
Or can be long
You can live in grief
Or sing a song

Poet's do both
Writing of caring
Nurses do oaths
Healing their sharing

May anything I write
May my nursing work heal
What you give away is right
It's light when dark you feel.
