warrior prayer #5
Father
We come before THEE this
most glorious morning
thankful that we rise with YOU on our minds
YOU have blessed us
and we are glad
As we search our hearts
still we find them an offense
against THEE in too many ways
therefore MY GOD we find YOU
even more worthy to adore
YOUR patience with
us far exceeds ours with others
YOUR love bestowed on us
shames the love we show to others
we even pray with lust
to have and want
our tongues speak violence against
even our own that we love
our heads hang too often in fear to look upon
YOUR holiness
our eyes dare meet with THINE
for certain we would be consumed
But we remember this
that THY mercies are new
every morning
and THY compassions they fail not
YOU forgive and cast far away our shortcomings
Teach us today to heed correction
to obey YOUR ways
to come humbly before YOUR THRONE
of grace to obtain mercy and help
in our times of need.
Lord bless Sandy today as she faces her day
may she find YOU to be even more then she dreamed
bless me as I face my day
and Lord bless all Your children
from the weakest to the mightiest
may they find their life hidden in Christ
broken and useful for all Your plans
Tim and Billy represent many new believers
who need to grow and learn
our children also
we include in this prayer
may they taste of freedom in YOU
may they live with a heightened awareness of THY presence
may they find themselves wanting more and more of YOU each moment
Lord make their road narrow and place invisible borders
with bob-wire that keeps them safe from escaping YOUR WAY
Open the doors that need to be open for YOU are wise
give them all new hearts of flesh
and break the fallow ground with THINE own perfect tools of choice
give us the wisdom to see and understand YOUR workings
blind us if we attempt to interfere
Lord raise all these men and women
give them special abilities to do
KINGDOM work here on earth
we offer ours to THY PERFECT WILL
and All for Jesus for it's in that name that's above all names
the name that opened heaven for us all
AMEN!
