Leafy Canopy
Beneath this leafy canopy I lie
Tall and lush greenery cascading down
Beholding such wonder in simple sigh
Mother nature wearing her springtime gown
Bathed only in light from yon golden orb
Adorned with delicate creature of wing
Beautiful essence I want to absorb
as I listen to songs the creatures sing
From this little nook take respite from woes
and sail my delight upon gentle breeze;
for it's only here the pace of life slows
and renews my faith with such grace and ease
Leafy canopy to nature attune;
for beauty we see is gone all too soon
