 Sweet Times
Amidst the turmoil of life there are moments of peace;
Where life settles down, the pure joy of breath overtakes.
Gentle is the breeze that blows at that moment across my life;
I stop along the road, I take notice of the peaceful, sweet times.
With flowers blooming and the wet, cool grasses licking my ankles,
I walk through the scented forest along the road of peacefulness.
Gentle is the moment breaking down the barriers that protect me
From the onslaughts of this life; I sit and absorb the sweet times.
Too many times I focus on the evils my life brings to my path;
Blinding me to the simple joys of life, I miss the opportunities.
Looking up from my life's mess into the heavens above my head;
Taking a moment from the unrest, I enter the peace of the sweet times.
