When The Moon Cries
WhenThe Moon Cries
Sleep's gone!
Morning wakes bright,
shadow boxing my thoughts.
Six sable, sag-wagging birds in song,
“Wrong note.”
Dream's done!
Vanished by sun,
like each star, one by one.
City bats bid farewell to Luna,
she cries.
Alone,
sobbing, red eyed,
bleeding from erosion
in a blank spot of smooth universe,
she faints.
“Who cares?
Dusk will still come
giving constellations.”
Her deep, empty weeping is tragic
to glance.
There's More.
A poem suffers.
It's wretched action dies.
City bats bid farewell to Luna!
She cries.
