I have been excruciatingly filled by
a terrorizing sense of vibrant fervency
which secretly flows upon the river of
my life's blood.
It serenades my heart with horrifically
beautiful hymns of destruction.
And darts about the castle of my mind
like the shimmering ghosts of
yesteryear moaning quietly into
my ear of what must be done.
As though in a trance I take up my
sword and quickly slip into my armor,
saddle up my steely steed and ride
into the bloody battle filled with
a fiery unquenchable rage.
With sword in hand I swing it wildly
into the hordes of frightened men
huddled on the bloody ground.
As quickly as it came upon my frosty
heart the rage subsides, and my sanity
returns leaving me a shaken regretful
mess of a man grieving over the
unforgivable things that I have done
in the name of my king.
